Anna Romanova, HR Director at Avalon, recently gave an interview to OBOZ.UA.She shared the secrets of creating a true balance in employee relations and insights into successful recruiting in unstable times. Her career path at our company began in 2019 as Compensation and Benefits Manager, but with the development of Avalon and the emergence of new areas of activity, Anna became Director of the HR Department.

When asked what the most important discovery she had made during her time at the company was, Anna replied:

“The true indication of corporate culture is the environmental sustainability of employee dismissal.”

In addition, in interview, our super HR manager noted that today, the main task in this niche is to create a stable and safe space in these difficult times. After all, only when you feel safe can you truly create, achieve goals, and be productive. The workplace should be a point of support and balance that allows you to feel confident in yourself and the future. Trust, support, and fair evaluation are the basis for creating an excellent microclimate in the company.

According to Anna, beginners in the this area should understand that in order to “read” people and understand their motives and strengths, you must first understand your own and successfully apply them in your work. It is also important to listen to the needs of the business, rather than relying solely on your own experience or context. This simple secret to success really does bring results that exceed expectations.

In the interview, Anna spoke with warmth about our company's goals and explained why candidates should choose us:

  • Support as part of our culture — Avalon stands by its specialists at different moments in their lives.
  • Team spirit in difficult times — during the pandemic and war, we did not lose our team, but on the contrary, we helped with housing, evacuation, and stabilized work when chaos reigned around us.
  • Regular development and improvement — our company develops strengths and provides opportunities for growth within the company.
  • Social responsibility — constant participation in charitable events and social initiatives is part of Avalon's corporate culture.

Finally, Anna shared her vision of the HR field:

"Essentially, it's about developing emotional intelligence and design thinking — the ability to look at the bigger picture, ask the right questions, and see the system as a whole. Only then can you build a real balance and create win-win stories: company—employee, vacancy—candidate, expectations—results."
