Avalon consistently supports socially responsible initiatives aimed at developing a conscious society and fostering a responsible attitude toward the urban environment. That is why it is important for us to partner with projects that teach young people to think systemically and critically, and to understand how their decisions impact the city and its future.

This Saturday and Sunday, in cooperation with the national scouting organization Plast, an urban development training took place, bringing together active young participants interested in the development of modern cities. The program addressed key topics shaping today’s urban reality: urbanism, the city as an ecosystem, environmental preservation, critical thinking, and active civic engagement.

A separate focus of the training was dedicated to the dialogue between the city and business, the role of development in shaping a high-quality urban environment, and the principles of responsible construction, architecture, and planning. Participants were not only listening to experts but also actively engaging in discussions, asking questions, and seeking answers to the complex challenges facing Ukrainian cities today.

Throughout the training, participants actively contributed to discussions and shared their impressions. One of the speakers, Viktoriia, highlighted the importance of Avalon’s practical approach to urban development:
“Regarding Avalon, I was particularly interested in the solutions related to urbanism and the comprehensive approach to shaping urban space,” she noted.

For Avalon, supporting such initiatives is not a one-time activity but part of a long-term commitment. We firmly believe that conscious cities begin with conscious people, and that investments in education and youth development are just as valuable as investments in infrastructure.

Cooperation with Plast represents joint work toward shaping a generation that thinks strategically, respects urban space, and is ready to take responsibility for the future of their communities. It is precisely initiatives like these that lay the foundation for the sustainable development of cities and society as a whole.
