Production and Technical Department Engineer (PTD Engineer)

Due to our continued growth, the Avalon team is looking for a Production and Technical Department Engineer (PTD Engineer).

What we’re looking for:

  • Higher technical education in Industrial and Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field;
  • Experience as a Production and Technical Department Engineer, Cost Estimator, or in a Tender Department;
  • Ability to read and interpret design and construction documentation across all disciplines (architectural, structural, and MEP systems);
  • Knowledge of construction technologies and the sequence of construction and installation works;
  • Proficiency in cost estimating software (AVK-5 or equivalent);
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian Building Codes (DBN), national standards (DSTU), and construction cost estimation standards;
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience in quantity take-offs from BIM models will be an advantage;
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze design and construction documentation to determine work quantities and material requirements;
  • Prepare technical briefs for cost estimation and tendering based on project documentation;
  • Calculate quantities for cost estimates, including construction and installation works;
  • Prepare material and equipment specifications;
  • Break down projects into tender lots/work packages and prepare tender documentation;
  • Develop technical requirements for contractors and suppliers;
  • Review contractors’ cost estimates and proposals to ensure compliance with the quantities specified in the project documentation;
  • Ensure the completeness and adequacy of project documentation for cost estimation and tendering purposes;
  • Collaborate with the Chief Project Engineer, Chief Project Architect, and design teams to clarify technical solutions and work quantities;
  • Prepare input data for project budgeting.

Additional Information:

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Probationary Period: 3 months.
