The LUN service, together with the Association of Western Ukrainian Builders, calculated which of the builders rented out the most square meters of housing from the beginning of the full-scale war until the end of 2023 in Kyiv, Lviv and their regions.
The indicator "under construction/surrendered" is the ratio of the number of apartments in residential complexes where sales have been opened or are currently open, but the apartments have not yet been surrendered, to the number of apartments that have already been surrendered. "If every year the developer has 10 times more liabilities than rented apartments, this can be an alarming signal, because the developer launches many apartments for sale every year, and at the same time rents out 10 times less every year," LUN comments.
Avalon (853 apartments) took second place in Lviv.
The rating included only housing units with a certificate of handover, excluding cottages and townhouses. Housing complexes were evaluated according to three criteria: the total area of the building, the number of rented apartments and the number of apartments where sales are open or have been opened and they have not yet been rented. If the residential complex was implemented by two developers, then the number of rented square meters should be divided between them equally or proportionally.
